To access information relating to your receipts/download history transactions on Vumero, click on the ‘My Account’ tab within your Profile Page.

Every browser handles downloading differently. If your browser does not prompt you to save your file automatically, it may not have downloaded. You can always re-download models you have purchased from “Your Model Bucket” section of your account when you are logged in.

Internet Explorer: Typically lets you choose where to save a file. If you do not select a folder, it will default to the last place you saved a file.
Firefox: Saves files to your downloads folder or desktop unless set otherwise in the preferences.
Safari / Chrome: Will generally send files to your download folder. This can also be set in the preferences.

Given the digital nature of spreadsheets and financial models purchased on Vumero, we regret that we cannot provide refunds.

We do provide many tools to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the purchase decision – including verification, demos, screenshots, ratings, documentation from the professional and questions and answers messaging and more.

If you become aware of a material error in a model you have purchased, please contact the model seller immediately. This can be done through the Vumero messaging system when logged in.

Just like any face-to-face commercial relationships, the quality of a Professionals’ work will depend, among other things, on their level of experience, training, reputation and available resources.

Within Model Bucket, Vumero provides a number of ways for you understand the quality of the spreadsheet or financial model you are purchasing. These include:

Spreadsheets and financial models purchased on Vumero are sold under license from their owner.  This allows you to use and edit them for both personal and commercial applications. However, you are not permitted under any circumstances to buy and resell the spreadsheet and financial model that you have purchased on Vumero.  Vumero and the Vumero community take active steps to avoid this situation and resellers will be permanently banned from the Vumero site.

During the upload process, you can elect for a Demonstration version to be automatically generated which will produce a hard-coded version of the spreadsheet or financial model.  You can also elect to upload your own Demonstration version.

Video demonstrations are optional.  Video demonstrations are highly recommended since they are a powerful way to clearly communicate the purpose, functioning, structure, relevance, and technical aspects to your spreadsheets and financial models.  The greater confidence the Buyer has in the quality of your spreadsheet or financial model, the more likely they are to purchase.

In most employment contracts in most countries, an employer who commissions work to be carried out by an employer is deemed to be the intellectual property owner and rights owner of that spreadsheet or financial model.  If this is the case in your legal jurisdiction, you do not have the legal rights to sell it as your own work without the express written permission of your employer.

In some circumstances, under some employer and Professional/contractor arrangements, the Professional/contractor may have intellectual property ownership and rights to the spreadsheet or financial model.

The seller assumes full legal responsibility to ensure they have adequate ownership and rights in the spreadsheet or financial model before selling on Vumero.  If you are unsure whether you have sufficient intellectual property ownership or rights to a spreadsheet or financial model in your possession, we suggest you seek advice from your attorney or legal department.

As a seller, you keep up to 85% of the sale price of each spreadsheet or financial model.  If you are a Vumero PRO account holder you keep 90% of the sale price of each spreadsheet or financial model.

There is no limit on the number of spreadsheets and financial models you can upload and sell through Vumero.

You may post quality spreadsheet and financial model to the Vumero website without any approval from Vumero.  Nonetheless, Vumero encourages a Verification on all new spreadsheets and financial models (especially for new users) to help Buyers gain confidence that your model satisfies a standard quality criteria set by the Vumero team.

Vumero charges a small fee to Model Factory Clients for a variety of valuable marketplace management services.

Among other services, Vumero provides secure Escrow, Workroom Management, Customer Service and effective Dispute Resolution between global Clients and Professionals.

There are no membership fees required to join and contribute to the Vumero Community. There are also no category fees, no bidding fees for Professionals, no transaction account fees and no fees for Clients initiating and conducting disputes (except Arbitration). It is free for Clients to post a job on Vumero.

Most work on Vumero is based on fixed-rate jobs, not hourly work. For every project that is successfully awarded and completed, Vumero will add a nominal fee to the Client’s job cost.

Vumero allows you to contact the Professional through our internal messaging system.

Model Factory jobs are described as Fixed Price jobs. You can specify within a job that you would like to hire a Professional on a per-hour basis.

There are no costs to post a job. However once you have found the right professional for you, there is a Job Management Fee so that you get access to our escrow services, dispute resolution process and a variety of other benefits.

Buyers and Professionals also do not pay anything to sign up with Vumero. There are also no fees for posting jobs, creating profiles, applying for jobs, communicating with potential Professionals.

Vumero’s job posting forms make it easy to narrow down just what you’re looking for.  Employers using clear language will likely attract the kinds of experts with the skills sets that you require. Be specific about the exact work needs, your timeline and other details to helps attract more Professionals to bid on your job.  You may browse similar jobs already posted to gain a better understanding of writing a good job post.

Finding a Professional on Vumero is easy! Start by posting a job. You fill out a detailed description of the kind of work and Professional you are looking for.

Employers can post this job publicly, or keep it private. If it’s public, you’ll quickly have skilled Professional from around the world sending you proposals for your job. From here you are able to compare, communicate with and select an appropriate Professional for you job. Information on the Professional’s background, work history and Vumero rating is also available to help you decide.   If you keep a job private, you can search our Professional database to find candidates you’d like to talk to. You can invite them to apply for your job.

When the Employer uploads a job, the Employer is given the legal option to specify attribution of the intellectual property ownership and rights. As a general rule, when a Professional undertakes a Model Factory job (including modifying a model):

1) All deliverables will be considered ‘work made for hire’ under U.S. Copyright law. Employers/Buyers posting a job will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.

2) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the Employer/Buyer on the site per the worker’s ‘Worker Legal Agreement’.

The Vumero marketplace allows you to securely contact your Employer through our internal messaging system. We encourage all Professionals to use the internal messaging system to ensure all conversations are documented, that they get paid securely and they are protected by Vumero Dispute Resolution.

Professionals bid for fixed-price projects.  It is important to keep in mind that the price set will be the amount payable by your Employer. The amount received by you will be 85% of this after deducting Vumero’s service fee. Vumero reduces its service fee for PRO account holders.

There are no fees for applying for a Model Factory job. Professionals keep 85% of the value of the work that they undertake. Vumero’s service fee covers things such as Dispute Resolution, Escrow payment facilities and more.

Vumero’s goal in arbitrations is to always arrive at a fair arbitration result. Sometimes such a result is difficult to attain, for example, due to lack of complete information, miscommunication, etc. If Vumero determines (at its sole discretion) that an arbitration result was not (or may not) have been 100% correct, it has the right to re-examine and/or re-open any and/or all parts of it. If Vumero (at its sole discretion) determines that a change should be made, the new change takes precedence over any original resolution. If Vumero re-opens an arbitration, all parties have the same rights, duties and responsibilities as in a normal arbitration.

If Employer or Professional threatens or harasses the other party or Vumero, does not treat the arbitration process with respect or professionalism, does not follow arbitrator instructions, attempts (in Vumero’s sole opinion) to manipulate or unduly influence the arbitration process, or breaks any rules in the Employer or Professional agreement or in the site terms and conditions, then Vumero may choose to automatically forfeit that party and rule in favour of the opposite party, as well as permanently terminate that party’s account.

To prevent ‘retaliatory ratings’, the losing party in an arbitration forfeits the right to rate the other party. Vumero reserves the right to suspend rating rights on either party and/or to remove/edit ratings that it judges to be either retaliatory in nature or involving a “trade” of favorable ratings to avoid a deserved bad rating.

Mediations and arbitration situations receive special scrutiny from Vumero.com because they often tempt one party to “trade” a deserved bad rating in return for performing a concession for the other party.  This practice is unfair to future Employers and Professionals who rely on the ratings to make decisions and taints the overall integrity of the rating system.  To prevent this, both parties agree to cooperate fully and completely with Vumero.com’s investigations as to why a cancellation or reduction in payment has occurred. Vumero will determine who is “at fault” and will then apply its own rating as follows:

• When one party is found at fault – The “at fault” party receives a negative rating (3 or less) with a comment detailing what occurred and the arbitration is recorded as a ‘lost’ arbitration on their record.
• When two parties are found at fault – Both parties will receive a negative rating (3 or less) with a comment detailing what occurred and the arbitration is recorded as a ‘lost’ arbitration on their record.
• When Vumero can’t determine who is at fault – There are times when it is not possible (or economically practical) to determine conclusively which party is at fault and which isn’t.  In these cases, both parties will receive a neutral rating with a comment detailing each party’s unverifiable position.  The arbitration is recorded as ‘neutral’ arbitration on both party’s records.

When Vumero determines that neither party is at fault – Both parties will receive a neutral rating with a comment detailing why the result was neither party “at fault”.  The arbitration is recorded as ‘neutral’ arbitration on both party records.

If the Employer wins arbitration, they may, at their discretion, apply the entire escrowed amount to a new Professional at no charge. Vumero will offer the Employer options (if available) of switching to other Professionals on the original bid, opening a new job to get new Professional bids, or otherwise offering to connect the Employer with Professionals for the purpose of completing the job.

The Employer also has the option to cancel the job and request a refund of escrow funds.  To compensate Vumero.com for the costs in this process, all refunds of this nature are subject to a cancellation fee for the Employer. However, to compensate the Employer when cancellation is not their fault should the Professional be determined by Vumero.com to be “at fault” for the cancellation, then funds in the Professional’s account (if available) will be used by Vumero.com to lessen or completely eliminate this charge.  If the Employer is awarded back 100% of their escrowed funds on a job (less any upfrom payments), then they agree that the deliverables created by the Professional may NOT be kept by the Employer. Employer agrees to relinquish possession by promptly and completely destroying all deliverables and copies of deliverables in their possession.
